  Introduction Program    

Natalie is passionate about sharing the ideas of teaching jazz at the elementary level with undergraduate music education students. In-person or via ZOOM, Natalie's sessions are engaging, entertaining, fun and thought-provoking. 

Jazz in the General Music Classroom   

This session is geared toward sharing activities and the reasons why jazz could and should be shared in elementary music classrooms. Topics include "Why Jazz?", Jazz History and Terms, 12-bar Blues and Forms, Transposition, Writing Lyrics, Listening, and Steady Beat with Jazz Accompaniments.

  Vocal Jazz Concepts for Young Choirs  

This sessions addresses the why and how to expand multicultural and world music in your ensemble by including American cultural music - jazz.
